Aneliya: Hello, and welcome to our brand new podcast, Building Wealth with Real Estate, where we explore the world of real estate investing with experts and thought leaders in the industry. I'm your host, Aneliya, and I'm thrilled to be joined by my co-host, Michael.
Michael: Hey, Aneliya, it's great to be here. I'm excited to share my journey of building wealth with real estate and to learn from our guests and audience as well.
Aneliya: Absolutely, Michael. We have a lot of ground to cover, so let's dive right in. Today, we're going to talk about our own real estate journey and how we built our companies from the ground up.
Michael: That's right, Aneliya. We started our real estate journey 20 years ago by managing vacation rental properties for incredible owners who trusted us with their investments. We focused our energy on building our companies from the ground up, creating momentum, and selling each of them successfully so we can move to the next chapter of our lives.
Aneliya: Wow, that sounds like an amazing journey. Can you tell us more about it?
Michael: Sure, Aneliya. We started with just a few properties and built our real estate portfolio with multiple vacation rental properties, commercial ones, and long-term rentals. It wasn't always easy, but we learned a lot along the way, and we're excited to share our experiences with our audience.
Aneliya: That's fantastic, Michael. I'm sure our audience is eager to learn from your journey. So, let's get started with our first question. What was it like going through the journey of building wealth with real estate?
Michael: Great question, Aneliya. It was a challenging journey, but also incredibly rewarding. We faced many obstacles, but we learned from them and used them to grow our business. We also met many amazing people along the way who helped us to succeed.
Aneliya: That's really inspiring, Michael. Can you tell us about some of the obstacles you faced?
Michael: Sure, Aneliya. One of the biggest obstacles we faced was financing. It was challenging to get the capital we needed to purchase properties and grow our business. We also had to deal with unexpected maintenance and repair costs, as well as issues with tenants and guests.
Aneliya: Those are definitely some big challenges, Michael. How did you overcome them?
Michael: We overcame these challenges by being proactive and taking action. We researched our options for financing and found creative solutions to secure the capital we needed. We also focused on building strong relationships with our tenants and guests, and invested in maintaining our properties to avoid costly repairs in the long run.
Aneliya: That's really great advice, Michael. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting their real estate journey?
Michael: I would advise them to do their research and be patient. Real estate investing takes time and effort, but it can be incredibly rewarding if you're willing to put in the work. I would also encourage them to network and build relationships with other investors and professionals in the industry.
Aneliya: Those are some great tips, Michael. Thank you so much for sharing your insights with us today. We have so much more to talk about in future episodes, so be sure to tune in next time.
Michael: Absolutely, Aneliya. I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for having me as your co-host.
